Hardness
90-92 [Rockwell A]

Tungsten Carbide is one of the hardest materials on earth, boasting a nine on the mohs hardness scale. Only a diamond has a higher quantitative hardness value. The modulus of elasticity is nearly twice that of steel, making it very difficult to machine. Instead of conventional machining, products are typically pressed and formed into shape via a sintering process. The material is often used to make industrial machinery components, high-end cutting tools, surgical tools, sporting equipment, and armor piercing munitions. It is also the most durable variant when it comes to electrical discharge machining materials with similar properties.
